Description from the seller
Wako Book 6
Wolfgang Tillmans
Wako Works of Art/2020/Japanese/153*218*8
Wolfgang Tillmans / Wako Book 6, a photobook by Wolfgang Tillmans, one of the leading photographers representing contemporary Germany. In a past interview, Tillmans described himself as a “picture maker.” Unbound by the constraints of being a “photographer,” he sees photography merely as “one means of picture making.” He is an artist who continues to create “new ‘pictures’” using various abstract and concrete techniques. Another compelling aspect of Tillmans is his meticulous approach to each exhibition, where he builds models and creates dense installations, allowing no compromise in spatial design or layout. This book is the sixth installment in the collaboration series between Wako Works of Art and Tillmans, published to coincide with his solo exhibition “How does it feel?” held from November to December 2020. Tillmans himself directed the editing and design. Limited to 1,500 copies.
