Antique brass fire screen in Louis XVI / Empire style, made in Italy, dating from 1850 to 1900, with gilt detailing and a decorative frame measuring 110 cm wide, 58 cm high and 20 cm deep, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Fire Screen, Louis XVI / Empire Style, Italy, Late 19th Century
Beautiful decorative fire screen in Louis XVI, Empire style, richly adorned with classical motifs, laurel wreaths and elegant gilt details. The frame stands on stylised paw feet and features column-shaped uprights, giving the piece both presence and refinement.
The metal mesh protects from sparks while still allowing the fire to be seen, making it both practical and highly decorative. A sophisticated accent for any fireplace.
Condition
Good condition for its age, with a beautiful patina and signs of wear consistent with time.
The screen is slightly bent and opens a little along a small part at the bottom. Please check the photos carefully, as they form part of the description.
A charming and authentic piece from the late 19th century, ideal for lovers of classic interiors and Empire style decor.
Shipping
Shipping within 1 to 3 business days after payment, securely packaged with track and trace and insurance.
Note to US residents, due to extra processing costs of 150 euro plus the increase of tax tariffs on top of the shipping costs, Beau Brocante unfortunately had to raise the shipping costs to cover this. I am really sorry to all my much appreciated US customers. Since this is an auction platform, it is impossible to predict the outcome of the auction and we have to ensure covering costs.
