Produced in the late 1930s, this set carries a rare double hallmark:
- Original German Rosenthal mark with the form name Winifred and designation Echt Elfenbein
- English-language Ivory mark intended for export

Instead of crossing the ocean, this set remained in Switzerland for over 80 years, carefully preserved by one family in the canton of Aargau.

The warm ivory tone of the porcelain is highlighted by a vivid orange rim – a creative solution during a period when gold was restricted for domestic use. This bold color creates soft pinkish reflections under light, emphasizing the graceful curves of the Winifred form.
The form “Winifred” was named after Winifred Wagner (wife of Siegfried Wagner and daughter in law of composer Richard Wagner) a key figure in the Bayreuth Festival during the interwar years.

Condition is excellent for its age. Only one cup shows a minor wear mark on the foot rim (see photo). This does not affect the beauty or integrity of the ensemble.
