Description from the seller
Joséphine service from the house of Tradition and Art of Living.
24 flat plates (460g, 25cm)
5 deep plates (400g)
Limited edition of 1000 pieces. Serial number 134.
Transcription of the text on the back of the plate:
JOSÉPHINE
Bonaparte married for love on March 9, 1796, the young Viscountess of Beauharnais, who would become Empress Joséphine.
The Château de la Malmaison was, for the imperial couple, a country residence. The Empress knew how to furnish it in her image, kind, restful, and graceful.
From a very beautiful tapestry from the era, our stylists adapted the central motif to create this marvelous decor, subtly highlighted by an Empire Green border, full of charm, balance, and lightness, just as the life of Joséphine de Beauharnais was—very dear to Napoleon's heart, but also to the hearts of the French.
Certified decor suitable from an exposed sash at the Château de la Malmaison, by Jeeques BOUVIER. Expert certified by the National Company of Experts.
This service, manufactured in Limoges, with a limited edition of 1,000 copies, bears No. 134.
