From a series of 830 engraved prints depicting allegorical cityscapes, published between 1623 and 1632 in Frankfurt am Main by Daniel Meisner and Eberhard Kieser. About eighty of these prints depict Dutch and Belgian cities. Each print features a motto or saying at the top, with a two-line verse in Latin and a four-line verse in German, both located at the bottom. In the foreground, there are usually emblems, symbolic images. For several cities in the Netherlands, the prints from Lodovico Guicciardini's Descrittione di tutti i Paesi Bassi were used as sources.
Good condition, full page 13.3x18 cm with full margins, uncolored, blank back; very faint traces of moisture.
