The front is fitted with a period religious printed panel depicting Christ blessing children, while the base retains its original printed paper label giving the Westminster address and noting the Society’s establishment in 1795. Constructed in stained softwood, the box shows honest age-related wear, surface marks, and losses to the paper label and image, consistent with prolonged domestic and church use. A genuine piece of late Victorian religious and social history, retaining its original character and patina.
