Stool - Antique piano stool that is height adjustable. - Steel, Oak - Pianokruk

Decorative and functional antique piano stool. The stool has a seat with a diameter of 34.5 cm, and the sitting height at the lowest setting is approximately 47 cm. The seat can be rotated upwards because a thick steel rod with a threaded screw is mounted underneath (see photos). The highest functional setting is about 55 cm. Therefore, the stool is suitable for adults and children. At higher settings, the seat is somewhat wobbly because the thick screw has become slightly worn over the years (more than 100 years).
The stool dates from the 1910s or 1920s of the previous century. It is made in the Art Nouveau style (Jugendstil). A very beautiful feature are the twisted curves in the wood of the chair. The stool has been restored once in its lifetime. You can see this, among other things, from the gray leather upholstery, which was probably black at one time (this was done in an extremely professional manner!), and also the steel rod with threading has been replaced at some point (see photos). It appears that the base consists of turned oak parts, and the seat is made of mahogany. The seat naturally stands out the most and should be the most luxurious, with leather upholstery. The wood also has a more reddish mahogany color, compared to the wood of the base. The upholstery completely matches the style. It is still without damage and has at most some light marks (see photos).

This stool shows logical signs of use (see photos), but still looks good for a stool over 100 years old. It is also 100% stable and can be used as a piano stool for many more years. Additionally, it is a decoration in any interior and certainly a conversation piece!
