AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

15x9 cm
Thickness 6 cm
Weight grams 956

Rare Stronzianite with sulfur from the Bubbonia mine.
The Bubbonia mine is located near Mazzarino in the province of Caltanissetta.
Absolutely intact piece, perfect. No defects to report.

This very rare sample was analyzed at the Department of Environmental and Earth Sciences, University of Milan Bicocca, on 12/09/2020.
Diffractometric analyses and microwave energy dispersion analyses were performed on the sample.
Sample description
Consisting of a lower part of light and shiny color, with a radiated structure, and an upper part with the appearance of yellowish concretions with a waxy luster.
The analyses were conducted on two different parts of a sample.
Diffraction analyses were performed using an XpertPRO Panalitical powder diffractometer.
The lower part of the sample showed the presence of celestina and rare quartz.
In the upper portion, the presence of STRONZIANITE and rare calcite was detected.
Mineral-chemical analysis
Measurements were taken using a Tescan Vega5136 xm scanning electron microscope combined with an EDAX Genesis 4000 XMS energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis system.
The analyses were performed on the same fragments used for the X-ray analyses.
The results confirmed the presence of celestina at the base of the sample and of stronzianite over 99%.
Probably calcareous in the concreted part.

I also add extraordinarily fluorescent.

I took photos to the best of my ability, and I must say that the photos very accurately reflect reality. But I guarantee you that the sample is much more beautiful in person.

Don't be afraid of the shipment and the long journey. All my samples will be carefully and professionally packed. Twenty years of experience in mineral packaging.

I ship traceable packages worldwide.
