Coin minted for the Portuguese colony of Goa, located in India. The reverse features the coat of arms of Portugal within an armillary sphere, surrounded by the legend "ESTADO DA ÍNDIA," while the obverse shows the face value and the issuing authority "REPÚBLICA PORTUGUESA." The design represents Portugal's colonial control of the Indian subcontinent. The MS64 RB grade indicates an example in excellent condition with traces of the original reddish color on the copper surface.
