Dinky Toys 809 – 2-ton American army freight truck (1968-1971)

Produced in France between 1968 and 1971, the Dinky Toys 809 reproduces the classic 2-ton US Army tank truck, with a rigid olive green tarp and a driver in the cab. The U.S. Army livery, with white stars and the numbering 'USA 551369,' is typical of the early French series. The functional front winch, three-axle chassis, and detailed nose make it one of the most characteristic military models of the era.

The presence of the original box, as shown here, significantly increases the collectible value. The variant in the standard military color is not considered rare but is highly sought after when complete with the base and the soldier.
