Description from the seller

This porcelain vase from the renowned manufacture Royal Dux Bohemia embodies the elegance of Art Nouveau, with its embossed decoration depicting two female faces surrounded by delicate floral motifs in pastel shades. Made of polychrome glazed porcelain, it stands out with its gold accents that add a touch of sophistication to the piece. Under the base, the pink triangular stamp 'P.D.M.' can be found, guaranteeing its authenticity and prestigious origin. Although it has a small flaw on one of the faces, this does not diminish the beauty and charm of this unique piece, which will appeal to art lovers and those with refined taste in decoration.

Royal Dux is the name of the porcelain company based in the Czech Republic that manufactures figurines and ceramics in neoclassical and Art Nouveau styles. A member of the Czech porcelain group, the company has been producing decorative pieces since 1853. Eduard Eichler led the company from 1860 until his death in 1887, recreating designs from Worchester, Copenhagen, and Sèvres. In the early 20th century, Royal Dux achieved great success thanks to the work of designer Alois Hampel. The company's pieces are distinguished by their pink triangle, a 'certificate of origin, authenticity, and quality.' Royal Dux experienced a resurgence with the Jaroslav Ježek collection presented at the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair.
