Mayan ceremonial ceramic ocarina from Jaina Island, Campeche, dating to 550–900 A.D., depicting a priestess in a skirt and spectacular headdress holding a child and a potion receptacle, with dimensions 17.5 × 9.0 cm and good condition with surface wear, provenance from a French auction house (former Doctor Jean Redor collection) and including an authenticity certificate and Spanish export/import license; not for sale to US customers.
Description from the seller
A mayan ceremonial ocarina depicting a priestess dressed in a skirt and spectacular headdress, with necklace and earspools; holding a child in one arm and a potion receptacle in the other. Jaina Island, Campeche ( Mexico ). Maya Classic Period, 550-900 A.D.
Dimensions: 17,50 x 9,00 cm.
Condition: Surface wear but excellent condition.
Provenance: Acquired at a french auction house. Formerly Doctor Jean Redor collection, France.
Important: Due to Summer holidays, Items sold at the end of July or August will be sent in September.
Notes:
- The piece includes authenticity certificate.
- The piece includes spanish export license.
- If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will
be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months.
According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union
are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the

to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
