Neapolitan Nativity Scene, handcrafted 'Fruit Basket' made in Neapolitan craftsmanship from the early to mid-1900s. The technique of ancient wax modeling, still widespread today, is skillfully applied to confer plasticity and realism. The white grapes, red grapes, Christmas melon, Annurca apples, and the wicker basket, all in miniature beauty, are placed near tavern activities and street fruit vendors in the market area with passersby, to best evoke 18th-century Naples with the Royal Bourbons. Height measures 8cm, width 9cm, depth 8cm. Signs of age and small imperfections are present, all visible in the photos.
