Impressive Neoclassical Gilded Brass Table Lamp – "Winged Victory".
A stately and finely detailed figural table lamp depicting Nike (Winged Victory), the Greek goddess of triumph. This piece is a superb example of Neoclassical Revival design, combining classical sculptural grace with the functional elegance of early 20th-century lighting.
Design & Symbolism
The central figure is a masterfully cast brass statue of the goddess, balanced gracefully upon a globe. She is shown in a classic triumphant pose with outstretched wings and raised arms, which lead to a twin-light brass fitting. The figure stands on a tiered, stepped octagonal base, a hallmark of the transition into the Art Deco aesthetic.

Origin: likely French or European, early 20th century.
Period: Circa 1910–1925.
Material: Solid cast brass with its original gilded finish.
Condition: In good antique condition. The brass retains excellent structural detail. There is many, attractive wear to the gilding (patina) consistent with its age, which adds depth and confirms its authentic vintage origin.
