Rare first series MaMa vase made in Makkum at Koninklijke Tichelaar, designed by the famous designer Roderick Vos.
This vase is white with hand-painted Delft Blue decoration at the ends of the tubes.


De MaMa vase is a design by Roderick Vos, inspired by the structures of nature. Vos's fascination with her fundamental forms stems from their often surprising simplicity and beauty; 'sharing, regularity, rhythm, and repetition.' By repeatedly using a basic shape, the first MaMa vase was created in 1999 — this white vase with hand-painted Delft Blue decoration, produced in Makkum at Koninklijke Tichelaar.
During the design process of the MaMa vase, the starting point was to create an archetype of a symmetrical vase. By tilting this shape on the computer and positioning two identical forms against it, this fascinating three-dimensional line pattern was accidentally created. This design has now become an icon.

The condition of the vase is excellent in new state and well marked.


42cm high and 33cm in diameter.

A collector's item!! There are not many of this vase in circulation because the production was very short.
