Commemorative coin of the 50th anniversary of the Union of South Africa, established in 1910 as an autonomous dominion of the British Empire. The obverse features the country's traditional coat of arms, representing its four original provinces. The reverse depicts the Parliament building (Union Buildings) in Pretoria, with the dates 1910 and 1960 surrounded by the national motto in Afrikaans and English.
