The Sony FE 24mm F/2.8 G is a full-frame prime lens for the Sony E-mount. The lens excels with its high image quality and beautiful bokeh in a lightweight and compact design. This makes it very suitable for taking it on the go.
The lens is suitable for Sony full frame and APS-C cameras and offers a compact solution for both photographers and videographers. With a focal length of 24mm, the prime lens is ideal for landscape photography, for example. The high image quality is achieved through an optical design featuring aspherical elements and ED glass elements (Extra-low Dispersion), which prevent chromatic aberrations. The aspherical elements deliver edge-to-edge sharpness, even at the largest aperture.
The FE 24mm F/2.8 G is part of a set of three G lenses, each with a different focal length. The set includes a 24mm, a 50mm—ideal for portraits—and a 40mm, perfect for photography and filming. Besides high resolution and precise autofocus functions, the lenses share several features: they are all the same size, have identical internal focus mechanisms, and offer intuitive operation. They are equipped with a focus lock button, focus mode switch, aperture ring, and an aperture click switch for optimal handling. Due to these similarities, they complement each other well, making lens swapping easy.
