Description from the seller
Majestic service for 6 people from the prestigious Italian manufacturer Richard Ginori. The service is made in the shape of the 'Doccia' model, one of the most famous from the renowned manufacturer. The shape of these plates still follows the original Doccia model, which, unlike the 'Antico Doccia' model, reissued by Richard Ginori from the late twentieth century, has smaller diameters in line with the tastes of the 1950s and 1960s, different from modern preferences.
The plates are also enhanced by the gold wire that runs along the edge. On the rim of the plates, there is an alternating decoration: a bouquet of flowers of different types and colors.
The service is composed of:
6 appetizer dishes
6 deep plates
6 flat plates
One round tray
One Riviera
1 salad bowl
Tableware service with classic lines, Doccia is the place where, in 1735, the artistic and entrepreneurial intuition of Marquis Carlo Ginori gave birth to the historic Manifattura, the factory of white gold. The Doccia shape defines the deepest essence, identifying the manufactory worldwide as a Maison of excellence in pure porcelain and design. Curved lines and a profile inspired by late-Baroque Florentine silverware make Doccia a timeless collection. The essential white evokes a sense of returning home, to a place entirely our own, timeless in its beauty.
The service is still produced and sold by Richard Ginori, in its most modern form, Antico Doccia: https://www.ginori1735.com/it/it/collezioni/antico-doccia
The dishes are sold for:
€240 for 6 pieces of deep plates
€240 for 6 pieces of flat plates.
€204 for 6 pieces of appetizer plates
The dishes are in excellent condition considering their age.
