Eikoh Hosoe's Man and Woman, with Eikoh Hosoe's Hanko Stamped, a single hardback Japanese-language facsimile reprint (60 pages, 25 × 19 cm) published by Cameraart Tokyo in 2006 with dust jacket and slipcase, in very good condition and signed with Hosoe's hanko stamp; obi has a bite.
Description from the seller
Originally published in 1961, this highly anticipated facsimile reissue was released in conjunction with the 2006 solo exhibition "The World of Eikoh Hosoe" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
Amid the turmoil generated by protests against the US-Japan Peace Treaty, a photographer and his subjects clash, and from the most unusual circumstances, a previously unseen photographic style is born.
The images would become not only the prototype for Hosoe's work, but also one of the prototypes of photographic expression.
Book and slipcase are in Very Good condition but Obi has a bite, please check the picture before bidding. Signed with Eikoh Hosoe's hanko stamp.
