Description from the seller
Conceptual sculpture - Sealed speed - Mercedes 190E Evo 2 AMG DTM - Roland Asch - 1992
There is a sedan that has stopped being just a car to become a race weapon.
It is the Mercedes 190E EVO 2 AMG, the main protagonist of DTM in the early 1990s.
In 1992, with Roland Asch at the wheel, this sharp-looking, widened car fought wheel to wheel for the title, with the brute force of German mechanics and the aggressive elegance of a paddock icon.
This conceptual sculpture – Velocità Sigillata – captures its unmistakable presence: muscular fenders, oversized rear wing, low ground clearance.
Sealed in crystalline resin, the 190 EVO 2 is not only frozen in time but elevated to a symbol of an unrepeatable era, made of metallic rhombs and battles fought to the millimeter.
Numbered unique piece, this work is a tribute to the beast of touring that turned the streets into a circuit, and to those like Roland Asch who knew how to drive it to the limit with class and ferocity.
A sealed legend, forever.
