Ottoman Empire silver akçe from Orhan Gazi (1324–1362), weighing approx. 0.9 g and 15 mm in diameter, hammered, NGC XF Details with bent and tooled issues, certified NGC (No. 8237462-002).
Description from the seller
Early Ottoman silver akçe issued under Orhan Gazi, the second ruler of the Ottoman dynasty and the son of Osman I.
This period marks the formative phase of Ottoman coinage, closely following Seljuk and Islamic monetary traditions while laying the foundations of an imperial system that would later dominate Anatolia and the Balkans.
The coin is NGC certified and encapsulated, guaranteeing authenticity. It is graded XF Details, with noted issues of bending and tooling, clearly stated on the holder.
Despite these issues, the piece retains strong historical and numismatic value as an early Ottoman silver issue.
