Important decorative column or pedestal in Venetian style, made in the second half of the 20th century (circa 1950–1970).
The pedestal features a slender structure with a tapered, fluted shaft resting on a richly carved, shaped base. The capital, of Corinthian style, is decorated with acanthus leaves, volutes, and floral motifs typical of Venetian decorative tradition, with subtle polychrome shades of green and gold.
The surface features an antiqued finish with natural craquelure, highly appreciated in painted Venetian furnishings. The predominant coloration is cream with pastel tones and original patina.
