Six Moulin des Loups porcelain plates from France, featuring a multicolour naturalistic pheasant design with gold-edged rims, about 22–24 cm in diameter, dating to circa 1930–1940 and 1950–1960, in good used condition with signs of age.
Description from the seller
Set of 6 porcelain plates by Moulin des Loups – France
Naturalistic decoration with a pheasant
Fascinating set of 6 plates (approximately 22-24cm) in French porcelain Moulin des Loups, a historic manufacturer active in northern France, known for the quality of its ceramics and for its refined naturalistic decorations intended for the bourgeois table between the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century.
The plates feature a central polychrome decoration depicting a pheasant on a branch, set against an autumnal woodland landscape, crafted with great chromatic care and illustrative taste. The hunting subject is typical of Moulin des Loups production and is highly appreciated by collectors of French porcelain and ceramics from that era.
The edge is elegantly shaped and decorated with gold fillets, now visibly worn, a detail that attests to the age and authenticity of the piece. The surface shows evident signs of age, consistent with use and the period of manufacture, which give the set a pleasing historical patina.
Good overall structural condition. No cracks or breaks are reported. There is widespread wear of the gold and signs of use, as visible in the photo, considered normal for antique porcelain of this type.
A decorative and collectible set, ideal for lovers of vintage tableware, French porcelain, or for scenic use in country, classic, or hunting environments.
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
