Description from the seller
Antique world globe – G. Thomas, publisher Paris – early 20th century - probably 1920-1930
Very beautiful antique globe, marked 'G. Thomas – Publisher – Paris.' This globe features a paper map on the sphere, mounted in a copper meridian ring with degree markings, and placed on an elegant wooden base.
The cartography displays historical geographic indications and sea currents, making this globe not only decorative but also culturally and historically interesting. The warm patina, light discolorations, and signs of use contribute to its authentic character and confirm the age of the object. It is in good condition, with a small damage, as shown in the last photo. Not distracting.
A unique object for collectors of antique globes, cartography, or scientific instruments, but also a stylish eye-catcher in a classic or eclectic interior, library, or office.
