Description from the seller
Very beautiful letter signed by Louis-Alexandre Berthier, prince of Neuchâtel and Valangin, prince of Wagram, French general then Marshal of the Empire.
The conscription of the year 13, Sir, does not yet conclude in your department. You still need to send 27 conscripts to complete the deployment of the contingent and to replace the deserters on the way. (...) Please do everything possible so that I can immediately inform the Emperor that there is nothing more for you to do in these two matters.
