Portuguese Old Wine Brandy
WINEMAKER: José Maria Soares Franco.
VINIFICATION
We have allowed this remarkable Reserve Extra to stand the test of time, keeping it a little longer in oak wood and ageing the blend with all the flavour and identity of a tradition that is very much ours and that goes back a hundred years. In the CR&F house there used to be a special 5,000 litre barrel reserved for family friends only. It was rarely opened, not for lack of occasions to celebrate, but because it was often forgotten due to the rush of days. There was a moment of inspiration and the outcome was an unexpected surprise. Time had mellowed and enveloped the flavours and a unique liquid was found, unlike anything they had ever tasted. The whole team was immediately assembled and they decided that this brandy had to reach the brand's enthusiasts, as they too deserved to enjoy it.
TASTING NOTES
Dark topaz. Light oaky notes aromas. Oaky, nutty and fruity in the mouth.
SERVING
In post-meal moments with dried fruits, chocolate, coffee, a good cigar or solo. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 18ºC and 20ºC. Consume in moderation.

The CR&F legacy began in 1895, when Francisco Ribeiro de Carvalho, became an exporter of wines and spirits, at his facilities in Ginjal (Almada/Lisbon).
The history of Carvalho, Ribeiro & Ferreira - CR&F, is once again written in Portuguese, by the hands of João Portugal Ramos, who in 2016 operationalized one of the largest transactions in the sector in Portugal. The group's enormous experience in the wine sector, the innovation strategy and the constant improvement of production techniques, provide the CR&F brand with perfect synergies.
The priority continues to be bringing people together around a great story, passing on the legacy from generation to generation, and making this story timeless.
