Description from the seller
Milo Baughman by Morex Italia – Rare Space Age Coffee Table – Chrome Steel and Glass – the 1970s
An icon of Mid-Century Modern design: the famous three-level coffee table designed by American designer Milo Baughman and produced in Italy by Morex in the 1970s.
This piece represents the perfect fusion of the geometric rigor of international style and the dynamism of the Space Age. Thanks to its ingenious pin system, the two lower shelves rotate smoothly, allowing the table to transform from a compact sculptural element into an extended and articulated surface.
High-quality chrome steel tubular structure characterized by iconic wide-radius curves typical of Morex's production from that era.
The plans consist of three panels of transparent tempered glass, elegantly framed by the metallic structure; they rotate independently, offering endless possibilities for spatial configuration.
The small table is in excellent vintage condition.
Chroming: Brilliant and mirror-like, with very few signs of oxidation or wear related to time.
Intact, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or fractures. The rotations are smooth and stable.
Dimensions: height 40 cm, width when closed 44.5 cm, width when open 110 cm.
