AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

→7.1 cm long x 5.5 cm wide Otodus Sokolovi teeth

Finding quality teeth amongst Otodus Sokolovi is hard but this one is a excellent quality specimen of Sokolovi shark teeth. It features the characteristic cusps with uneven serrations which is one of the hallmark of Sokolvi teeth. This teeth is not as colorful as Megalodon teeth but rather it has its own unique colorations giving it a very mysterious looks. It has beautiful curved body with nice tip and the root. Viewed from the front the teeth looks like a dagger of Arabic origin. This teeth can lay on its back as shown in photo which makes its very cool as well.

Sokolovi was a large shark capable to taking large prey and it lived during late Eocene to early Oligocene. Withtin Otodus family it is sometimes placed between Otodus auriculatus and Otodus angustidens and sometime it is regarded as Otodus auriculatus. It is a very interesting ancient shark in its own realm which will eventually give rise to the largest shark ever known and part of Otuudus family i.e., Otuudus Megalodon.

The teeth of this specimen have been professionally conserved. We think the teeth is in natural state however there is always possibility of some small hard to see minimum restoration work. Nevertheless, this teeth is in excellent shape overall.
