Berning Robot Star Classic (1996–2001) – made in Germany, a rare mechanical masterpiece, produced in only 500 units. No. CL212900. 35 mm spring-loaded camera, with impeccable precision and timeless vintage charm.
Perfectly functioning: quick shutter, smooth spring, clear optics, and soft focus. Comes with a certificate of authenticity (photo no. 9).
Historical notes
The Robot Star Classic is the modern successor to the famous Robot cameras, produced since the 1930s by the German company Otto Berning & Co. These machines were appreciated for their robustness, spring loading, and compact format, to the extent that they were also used for military and scientific applications.
The Classic series (1996–2001) was an exclusive tribute to historic models, built with the same craftsmanship and produced in only 500 units worldwide. Today, it is a true collector's icon, a perfect synthesis of German mechanical precision and retro style.
