We present this relic from the late 1970s, a Michelin tire display stand made of enameled metal in excellent condition. It was treated with rust inhibitor in the areas where rust was evident (it has no holes), cleaned, and properly polished. Nothing else was done to preserve its original characteristics.
The story of this object is quite fascinating; it spent over 30 years in the private collection of a Tuscan mechanic from the renowned Jolly Club Rally team (Milano 1957). It was used to display tires for the special stages that would be used in races, which is very captivating. It has lived through the circus during the years of the Lancia Stratos, 037, Fulvia, Alfa, and Fiat Abarth.
It is superfluous to emphasize the rarity of the piece.
