Description from the seller

Medieval bronze ring showing an engraved pentagram on the bezel and XX decoration on the ring band.

Outside diameter: ± 20,5 mm
Inside diameter: ± 18,5 mm

Condition: Good and solid wearable condition. Very appealing olive-brown patina with spots of cuprite. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
Certificate of Authenticity: available upon request (pdf-format).

The Pentagram has been used as a symbol of Christianity, particularly by the Knights Templar, a military order that was active during the Crusades. It stood for the five wounds of Christ and in the past it was commonly seen as a symbol of protection or a way to ward off evil.
