Megalodon specimen from Indonesia, Neogene Miocene, with a professionally restored root; height 10.3 cm and depth 7.8 cm.
Description from the seller
→10.3 cm long x 7.8 cm wide Megalodon teeth
It is a beautiful, compact Megalodon teeth in very nice coloration and has prominent serrations. The teeth is bit curved sideways so its raised up and does not lay flat on its surface which is an interesting feature in its own way. This curvature can be natural or slightly pathological in nature. The word pathological here refers to deformation. It happens usually lack of space in the jaw and pressure resulting in bit strange shaped teeth.
The root of teeth has been professionally restored by applying extra material so as to strengthen and re-enforce it. The shine of the teeth and all features are natural. The teeth also features a bourlette as well. The profile of serration is very good as well. Very few serration have been lost to fossilization & fossil retrieval process
this include a couple of them on right side and on or two partially at the top and some small parts from bourlette are not there exposing the underneath details of fossil. However, by and large, it is a very cool and nice teeth.
Please refer to photos for more details about this fossil.
