Beautiful set of a bronze mortar and pestle, richly decorated, signed at the bottom of the mortar 'MAX LE VERRIER – PARIS,' a famous French sculptor and founder from the Art Deco period.
The mortar features a high-quality relief decoration with a central mascaron, stylized foliage, and elegantly crafted side handles.
The matching mortar set, made of solid bronze, perfectly complements the ensemble.
Originally a utilitarian object, it has now become a highly sought-after decorative and collectible piece, typical of early 20th-century French production.
