Iconic artist’s book by Paul Thek and Edwin Klein published to coincide with Paul Thek’s exhibitions held in Amsterdam at the Stedelijk Museum and in Stockholm at the Moderna Museet in 1969.
The images are essentially still lifes of random objects, photographed from above and arranged on a two-page spread of "The International Herald Tribune".
We find museum postcards, pornographic magazines, Polaroids of artists at work, mushrooms, cigarette butts, hyacinth flowers, bottles of wine...
Rare artist's book in an unusual format (40 x 30 cm).
It is part of the Whitney Museum's collections in New York.
Light creases on the lower part of the white back flap.
Also not in very good condition, close to like new, for this sought-after work.
