Emile Baboin 1860-1930 was a collector of medieval ivories in Lyon, France.
The inventory label is on the back side of this object and bears number 1.
In 1912, he published the book, Ivoires gothiques. Collection Émile Baboin. Catalogue, through Raymond Koechlin.
