Description from the seller
Two oval triptych frames in gilded bronze or brass – 19th century – Louis XVI style – domed glasses.
Set of two oval triptych frames, each composed of three medallions, dating from the 19th century, in the Louis XVI / neoclassical style.
The frames are made of gold-colored metal (bronze or brass), featuring an antique gilding finish.
Each triptych is richly decorated with beaded friezes, foliage garlands, and ribbon knots, characteristic of neoclassical decorative vocabulary.
The glass panels are curved on both assemblies, mounted in their old frames.
Please note that some original metal attachments intended to hold the plates or bases are missing at the back, which does not affect the presentation but should be reported for transparency.
The oval frames are currently displayed with a foot, which is not original.
These frames were intended to hold miniature paintings, portraits, or photographs and are now beautiful decorative or collectible objects, offering an elegant presence thanks to their size.
