Description from the seller
German wardrobe or also called Tuigkast.
Very solid and heavy, made from beautiful oak wood.
Originally a wardrobe for hanging clothes, later fitted with oak shelves.
The sharp bevels in the profiles on the doors are typical of German design.
Derived from the Renaissance.
The lock is very heavy and sturdy, and also original. Comes with a key.
Beneath the two doors, there are two drawers.
It stands on oak wooden legs — called 'slippers'.
The headboard is also made of oak wood with wide, thick planks measuring 2.5 cm in thickness.
The cabinet is made as a single piece and cannot be disassembled for transport.
Transport:
In the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, France, and Spain, we transport the furniture wrapped in packing blankets and place it inside. For other countries, we use a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and water-resistant foil, delivering it to the doorstep. The cost for the Netherlands and Belgium is 250 euros.
For islands, we charge a higher rate; delivery is to the door. Please help, as the driver is alone. The driver is not allowed to go inside or up the stairs.
The carrier will contact you to arrange delivery.
He has your phone number and email address.
>>> These transports usually do not have a track and trace system.
I am providing an empty code for Catawiki's computer system.
You cannot track the transport.
Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to rule out damage during transport.
Usually, it is not possible to ship within three days; you can ignore the reminders from Catawiki.
It usually takes between three and seven days.
You approve and sign for good receipt with the driver.
Any damage must be be reported immediately using this form.
This is necessary for the insurance.
Damage caused thereafter is at your own risk.
An 'empty' form means a good reception.
The carrier will contact you to make a delivery appointment.
You are free to arrange the transportation yourself as well; please indicate this when making your payment to Catawiki.
For countries outside Europe, you will need to pay additional customs fees, as well as additional costs for customs clearance and administration. For countries outside Europe, I list a single price for convenience, but amounts may vary.
I'd be happy to inform you. Please contact me.
