Victor TT-81 turntable, manufactured in 1980, in very good physical condition and tested and functioning.
Description from the seller
Extremely rare Vincent TT-81 turntable in an even more rare CL-P2 plinth. Vincent — or JVC as it was called outside Japan — was one of the major players in the turntable market during the golden era. However, these units were scarcely sold on the European market, making them an absolute rarity today!
The CL-P2 plinth has been completely restored with rosewood veneer. The grain of the armboard matches the deck. This was never the case with the original decks/armboards! (technically very difficult to achieve). The armboards are restored and ready to be fitted with a tone arm of your choice.
A rare opportunity to obtain a true classic!
Turntable developed by inheriting TT 101 technology.
The digital speed counter has been changed to a quartz-powered strobe, and other peripheral mechanisms have been reorganized to reduce the cost.
Adopts quartz lock with high-precision all-round integral detection FG servo.
In addition, it is equipped with 1 Hz step pitch control similar to TT-101, and pitch adjustment of ± 6 Hz is possible.
A 12-pole, 24-slot high-torque brushless DC motor.
The basic servo system that controls this motor employs a ± two direction servo system similar to the TT-101, which provides superior constant speed performance compared to a system that reduces speed by cutting off the motor drive current.
Equipped with an electronic brake system. When the stop button is pressed, reverse current flows instantaneously to the motor drive circuit, and rotation is quickly stopped by the reverse rotation force.
Drive system: FG detection, quartz lock / DC servo / direct drive.
Wow flutter 0.025% (WRMS)
0.01% (Rotating Part)
Signal-to-noise ratio 73dB(DIN-B)
Start-up characteristic: 1 second or less (1/3 rotation, 33 1/3 rpm)
Quick stop characteristic within 1 second (at 33 1/3 rpm).

Load characteristic 0% (Needle pressure 120g)
Drift 0.0001%/h
0.00003% / °C
Rotational speed deviation: 0.002% or less.
