Description from the seller
Elegant pair of English chairs from the late 19th century, crafted in solid mahogany with fine craftsmanship.
The front legs are slender and agile, with a sinuous curve and a slightly curved foot, while the rear legs follow continuously the line of the backrest. The backrest, shaped and richly carved, is embellished by a refined central cherub, a decorative element of great charm and execution quality. The carving, deep and harmonious, enhances the entire structure. The upholstered seat is wide and comfortable.
The chairs are structurally sound; only some parts of the fabric cord are slightly detached, as is clearly visible in the photograph.
