Set of two traditional knives from Asia - Nepal and Burma - 20th century


A beautiful set consisting of two pieces of artisanal cutlery from Southeast Asia, dating from the second half of the 20th century.

Nepalese knife with bone sheath:
Origin: Nepal.
Materials: Bone sheath richly decorated with motifs carved in traditional concentric circles ("peacock's eye"). Handle in horn or dark wood inlaid with decorative discs.
Blade: Steel blade with floral engravings on one side.
Condition: Good overall condition, nice patina from wear.

Burmese ceremonial dagger:
Origin: Burma (Myanmar).
