Description from the seller
Copal RD-700 – Space Age Flip Clock Radio Alarm | 1970s
Design
A well-preserved example of a Space Age flip clock radio produced by Copal in the 1970s, featuring a low, elongated profile, glossy black front panel with mechanical flip display, and ivory-colored plastic body.
The design reflects the functional and aesthetic approach of Japanese domestic electronics of the period, combining clear readability with a strong visual presence.
The plastic shows a natural, age-related patina, not uniform but coherent, with no invasive restoration.
The case has not been whitened in order to preserve the original material integrity and structural strength. Despite the color variations, the overall appearance remains balanced and visually consistent.

This is a vintage electronic item, over 50 years old. While it is fully functional at the time of listing, it should be understood that components such as capacitors, potentiometers, switches and mechanical parts may require maintenance in the future due to age.
The item is carefully cleaned, tested and documented before listing.
All functions are tested again immediately before shipment as a final quality control step.
The item will be professionally packed with particular care, using appropriate protective materials to minimize the risk of damage during transport. Once shipped, handling and transportation are the responsibility of the carrier.
Minor variations in performance, background noise, signal sensitivity or mechanical tolerances are normal for vintage electronics and do not constitute defects.
Please note that colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions and individual screen or monitor settings. Any perceived color variation is not to be considered a defect.
By bidding or purchasing, the buyer acknowledges the vintage nature of the item and accepts its condition as described and documented through photographs and video.
