Description:
Lot: Magnificent set of two large-format commemorative medals dedicated to the city of Madrid, minted by the prestigious firm Acuñaciones Españolas, S.A. (Barcelona).
Technical Features
Material: Pure Silver (Fineness 1000/1000).
Total weight: 89.6 grams (approx. 44.8 g per medal).
Diameter: 50 mm each.
Quality: Struck with detailed reliefs and a mirror-like background (Proof-like).
Condition: Excellent condition, presented in its original luxury case.
Iconography:
Medal 1 (Cibeles and Shield): On the obverse, it shows the emblematic Cibeles Fountain with the inscription 'MADRID'. On the reverse, the coat of arms of the City of Madrid (The Bear and the Strawberry Tree).
