Very beautiful sideboard from La Permanente Mobili Cantù, of substantial size, in wood with fabric trim. Dating from the 1950s. The condition is very good, with small signs of wear consistent with age, all documented by attached photos.
La Permanente traces its roots to the ancient and renowned cabinetmaking tradition of Cantù, initially specializing in the imitation of past styles.
Around the 1930s, to reinvent themselves, the people of Cantù opened themselves to leading figures in Italian and international architecture, launching collaborations and innovative projects.
The consortium became a symbol of professionalism, combining respect for tradition with a strong capacity for innovation and modernization in terms of aesthetics and form.
