Discover the first anthology of short stories drawn from the erotic magazine L'IMPARFAITE. WHAT IS L'IMPARFAITE? L'imparfaite is an erotic magazine of a new kind. Discover the first anthology of short stories drawn from the erotic magazine L'IMPARFAITE. WHAT IS L'IMPARFAITE? L'imparfaite is an erotic magazine of a new kind. We refuse to let sexuality be a battleground where men and women clash; gays, straights and bisexuals. We are not afraid of others, nor of their desires. So L'imparfaite is a curious magazine.
Since its creation in 2009, the magazine had made headlines by having students from Rue Saint-Guillaume—and, for some, future ENA graduates—pose completely naked. Since then, it has approached sexuality as a subject of inquiry in its own right, on par with economics or politics.
They had created L'Imparfaite (1) for their own pleasure. They? A gang of friends who had just wrapped up five years of study at Sciences Po and wanted to go out with a bang. "But not by making a boring geopolitical magazine," recalls one of them, Quentin Girard. Then an astonishing idea emerged in this seemingly proper milieu: to have nude students pose for a sex magazine. Or how to put those who will form tomorrow's elite—some of whom would now be ENA graduates—naked, naked as worms, in a magazine available in bookstores. It was 2009, the magazine L'Imparfaite was born. "All the students who posed wanted to hide their faces," says Quentin Girard. The young, thrilled graduates decide to turn the experiment into dedicating the magazine to sexuality. "For many people, sex belongs to the realm of the light, the trivial. For us, it is a gateway to understanding the world," explains Quentin Girard. "From a moral, aesthetic, and cultural perspective, the way we conceive sexuality allows, like geography or history, to approach and study a society." (Le Figaro)
