Description from the seller

Beautiful set of five antique Japanese lacquer boxes

Discover this refined set of five antique Japanese lacquer boxes, each a work of art that exudes craftsmanship and elegance. The boxes are richly adorned with traditional, hand-painted scenes of birds and natural elements, rendered in gold and subtle colors on a deep glossy surface. The authentic patina and signs of age give the boxes character and emphasize their historical value.

Two of the boxes are early 19th-century and inlaid with a faux tortoiseshell motif, with a delicate gold drawing of a sprig of herb.

Condition
The boxes are in reasonable condition. There are some minor lacquer damage, scratches, stains, and damage to the inner edge where the lid rests, as clearly shown in the photos. There is no key available.

Dimensions
Largest box with birds: 9 cm high × 20 cm wide × 17.5 cm deep, weight: 330 g

Round box: 8 cm high × 11.5 cm diameter, weight: 160 grams

Two identical boxes: 6.5 cm high × 14 cm wide × 11.2 cm deep, weight: 133/132 g

Rectangular box: 6.5 cm high × 17 cm wide × 6 cm deep

The item is carefully packaged and shipped with a Track & Trace code, so the shipment can always be tracked. For packaging, a 1-liter bottle is used. Photos are part of the description.
