Here's a vintage double bed set (one sheet and two pillowcases) where you can find all these qualities.
Excellent pure cream-white linen, soft to the touch yet substantial, enhanced by exquisite, delicate white embroidery that runs along the entire edge of the sheet and the pillowcases. The entire perimeter of the sheet, however, is finished with a plain hem, as in the photo.
The pillowcases have buttonholes but no buttons, a typical practice of days gone by.
