Terracotta ushabti figurine, complete

Late Period to early Ptolemaic Period, circa 6th–3rd century BC

Description
Complete terracotta ushabti figurine depicting a mummiform human figure standing frontally, with arms crossed over the chest.
The figure shows a rounded head with simplified facial features and a compact, columnar body. The feet and base are preserved, confirming the integrity of the statuette.
The modelling is modest and schematic, characteristic of common funerary ushabtis produced for private burials during the Late Period and early Ptolemaic era.
The coarse terracotta fabric and traces of burial deposits are consistent with prolonged burial conditions.

Condition
Complete. Surface wear, erosion and mineral deposits consistent with age. No restorations.

Private collection of a French physician, formed before the 1970s.
