Mini Cooper S Cabriolet from 2005 with a 1.6 L petrol engine producing 170 HP, manual transmission, 169,912 km, registered in the Netherlands with a valid MOT until 16 May 2026.
Description from the seller
Beautiful and well-running Mini Cooper S, from the 2005 model year, original 1.6-liter 16V engine with a supercharger (hence Cooper S), 170 hp and paired with a manual six-speed gearbox.
The Mini Cooper S generation R53 is one of the most reliable Mini generations from the BMW era, a 1.6 Chrysler engine paired with a supercharger, a guarantee of reliability and consistent performance. The 2004-2007 generation is one that benefited from very useful developments: a new Getrag transmission with improved gear engagement, a more reliable steering system (addition of a steering fan), a new 3-spoke steering wheel, and the addition of the glove compartment. Starts, runs, shifts, and stops well, like new.
documents
It has a valid MOT until May 16, 2026. The car was newly delivered in Germany and came to the Netherlands in 2008, so it has a valid Dutch registration. The car can be supplied (for an extra 50 euro) with EU Export documents, so a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in his/her country. A COC / CVO certificate is also possible, for an extra 70 euro.
Bodywork
This Cabriolet Cooper S has a beautiful, original dark gray metallic color, which Mini aptly calls Dark Silver. As for rust, this car is above average in that regard; at the well-known Mini spots (rear hatch, around the taillights, etc.) the car also has no rust. Very minor signs of use are present, see photos. The underside is also very neat, truly a tidy car. See the photos.
Technical
The Mini has always been well maintained; a few invoices are available, and since there is no recent maintenance invoice, a service is recommended, which applies to every used car, by the way. It handles as well as the best, a delightful car to drive. There are good tires mounted on the 17-inch alloy wheels. The car starts right away, pulls well, shifts, steers, and brakes nicely.
Interior
The car is equipped with a leather interior, a leather sport steering wheel, an original Mini, air conditioning, power windows, and a radio. The electric convertible top and windows work perfectly. Standard Xenon headlights, and stunning alloy wheels; the original wind deflector is of course included—see photo.
Transport:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands, and can naturally be picked up here. The car can be delivered within the Netherlands for an additional 150 euros (excluding the Wadden Islands).
For the foreign bidders
Delivery/Transport
The seller can have the car delivered relatively inexpensively across the entire EU by a professional carrier.
