Description from the seller
Elegant silver-plated tea and coffee service – Walker & Hall, Sheffield (England), early 20th century
Refined English tea-and-coffee set consisting of a teapot, a coffee pot, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, and a tray, produced by the prestigious Walker & Hall manufactory in Sheffield.
The set is made of high-quality silver-plated ware, as evidenced by the 'A1' hallmark, a mark that indicated the best grade of silver plating in British manufacture of the period.
Here are the original Walker & Hall punches—Sheffield, model number 53603.
The elegant, bombé shapes, the shaped feet, and the handles in insulating material (ebonite/bakelite) recall late Edwardian taste—early Art Deco, allowing dating to approximately 1910 to 1930.
