Description from the seller

From: Pokémon

This piece is an authentic original one-of-a-kind Japanese genga (key frame), hand-drawn by studio artists at OLM Studio and used directly in the creation of the anime Pokémon.

As an original production material, this artwork is unique, with no duplicates in existence.

Created for internal studio use under the direction of OLM Studio during the original broadcast production period of Pokémon (1997–2009 era).
A Certificate of Authenticity will be included with your purchase.

This original drawing features Pikachu, the franchise’s most iconic character, depicted in a charming and expressive pose that reflects the classic early-era Pokémon animation style.

The colored paper signifies that this drawing is a director’s correction, which adds to its rarity as a collectible, as these are typically drawn by senior animators or directors of the series or episode.

Please note that this is a vintage production item. Despite careful storage, age-appropriate wear or minor imperfections may be present. Buyers are encouraged to examine all images carefully prior to bidding.

This item is offered unframed by default. Framing is available upon request for an additional fee.

Artwork Size: 26.9 × 24.2 cm
Size with frame: 41 × 30.5 × 1.5 cm

Condition: Good (Small stain on the bottom left corner of the drawing and
two very small tears. Besides that the rest is in perfect condition.)

Shipping:
Your item will be shipped protected in a hard clear case to avoid any bending.
Tracking included. Optional insurance available at additional cost.

Seller's Story

Japanime Art Gallery is a Japan-based art gallery specializing in authentic anime and manga production art and historically significant collectibles. We primarily curate original animation cels, original drawings, and production materials created during the golden era of hand-drawn Japanese animation, from the 1970s to the 1990s. In addition, we carefully select rare posters, official reproduction artworks, reproduction manuscripts, and related materials that represent the history and cultural context of anime and manga. All works offered by Japanime Art Gallery are selected based on our independent curatorial standards, with a strong emphasis on authenticity, historical background, cultural significance, and preservation condition. Even when offering reproduction works, we only handle officially produced, exhibition-related, or limited-distribution items that hold genuine collectable value. Our mission is not simply to sell artworks, but to elevate anime and manga art as a recognized and respected category within the global art market, and to preserve and pass on its cultural value to future generations. We see ourselves as long-term custodians of anime and manga art, responsible for preserving, contextualizing, and introducing these works to the world as cultural and artistic assets.
